Kira Fernandes, LMHC, PMH-C

Outpatient Therapist

Kira is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with additional training and certification in Perinatal Mental Health.

She has worked extensively with families in Early Intervention, supporting new families as they deal with the challenges related to transitioning to a new parenting role, and the complexities that follow a difficult pregnancy, traumatic birth, NICU stay, or the longer-term challenges of parenting a child with special needs.

She enjoys helping new parents gain the confidence needed to ask for help and build a support system, and learn healthy ways to manage symptoms of anxiety and depression.

Kira has also worked as an outpatient therapist using play to help children ages 3-10 learn the coping skills needed to live with anxiety, depression, stressors and past trauma. She has a warm, patient, family-friendly approach and specializes in working with children who have previously been resistant to therapy.

Kira currently accepts Tufts and Harvard Pilgrim.
