Heather initially embarked on her career in social work in 2006 when she worked with youth committed to the Department of Youth Services in a secure lockup treatment program, as well as in a community based program assisting committed youth to create a more positive path for their life post lockup. She went on to obtain her Masters of Social Work from Boston University in 2011 and became a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, as well as a licensed School Adjustment Counselor. Heather has provided clinical treatment to individuals of varying ages in a variety of settings which include a private practice setting, a youth commission, a child and adolescent partial hospital program, a community mental health agency, and a school setting. She is a strengths based clinician who is passionate about empowering those she works with to fully connect, accept, and appreciate their authentic self and their story as a means for overcoming and healing from emotional stress and struggles.
Heather currently accepts Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Harvard Pilgrim, Tufts and Optum.
